Houve quem admirasse o arrojo da Honda em dar um passo em frente decisivo em termos estéticos, colocando-se a par da concorrência direta, menos tradicionalista, e quem, pura e simplesmente, detestasse as novas linhas da Hornet.&lt;br /&gt;Eu encontrava-me a meio caminho, franzindo o sobrolho à imagem geral do “vespão”, mas admirando algumas soluções. No entanto, nunca a tinha visto ao vivo. A primeira vez que tal aconteceu, foi precisamente neste contato que vos deixamos aqui, durante a apresentação européia à imprensa, que teve lugar no Algarve, o impacto foi totalmente diferente. Afinal era mesmo uma Hornet.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffcc33;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffcc33;"&gt;O conjunto que integra depósito (continua muito bonito, e cresceu 2 litros, passando a 19 litros), tampas laterais e assento, não engana, e mantém a identidade do modelo. Esteticamente, as grandes diferenças são mesmo a óptica com as lâmpadas sobrepostas e o estilo envolvente dos plásticos “edged armour”, sobre os quais encontramos o novo painel de instrumentos, a traseira que termina numa nova lanterna com LED, e – sacrilégio para os mais puristas – o escape que deixou de terminar com o silenciador elevado, passando a terminar numa pequena saída colocada em baixo, quase a lembrar a recente moda lançada pela Yamaha e Suzuki, com as suas novas R6 e GSXR 600. A verdade é que esta medida veio baixar o centro de gravidade e centralizar as massas, contribuindo para uma estabilidade que passou a ser totalmente irrepreensível. Bem, pelo menos, depois de já ter rodado em todas as versões da Hornet 600 (e inclusivamente, possuir uma das mais veteranas), tive finalmente o prazer de roçar com a “ponteira” no chão em curva, sem que para isso tivesse sido preciso um contato imediato com o asfalto,&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffcc33;"&gt;Mas a Honda não se ficou apenas pela revisão estética. De fato, nunca se havia mudado tanta coisa ao mesmo tempo nas anteriores versões. Para esta quinta geração, a Hornet recebeu nada menos que o motor na nova CRB 600 RR de 2007, com injeção eletrônica PGM-FI, trabalhado para as especificidades deste modelo, mas mesmo assim debitando 102 cv, e um novo quadro em alumínio. Este último mantém a estrutura “Mono Backbone”, uma espinha central que deixa assim de ser em aço, passando a estar à altura das novas exigências do motor da RR.A cura de emagrecimento – passou de 178 kg a seco para 173 kg – deveu-se essencialmente ao motor, mas a atenção a este ponto repartiu-se por diversos pormenores, desde as pedaleiras aos espelhos (com uma visibilidade não muito boa), passando pela novas rodas de alumínio com cinco braços.O novo braço oscilante em alumínio é agora mais comprido, aproveitando o fato do motor ser mais compacto, e a distância entre eixos cresce em 1,5 cm.&lt;br /&gt;Quanto à Frenagem, a Honda integrou na nova Hornet o seu conhecido sistema de freio combinada CBS, de modo a que, quando se pisa forte no freio traseiro, o sistema aciona também o dianteiro para equilibrar. No entanto, tendo em conta que esta é uma moto que tanto serve os mais experientes como os “rookies”, existe uma válvula de “delay”, que faz com que, se aconchegarmos apenas o pedal do freio até certo ponto (para corrigir em curva, por exemplo), este não acione as pinças dianteiras, o que só acontece a partir de determinada pressão, e de modo progressivo. Ainda neste capítulo, a Honda vai comercializar também um versão que combina o CBS com o sistema de anti-bloqueio ABS (500 € mais cara), a qual não estava disponível para testar.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffcc33;"&gt;Mal subimos para a amarelinha que nos cederam (a única cor disponível na apresentação, mas vamos ter direito também a versões em azul, preto e vermelho), a primeira sensação foi de que “temos moto”. O ronco da nova Hornet denuncia as suas intenções e a nova alma que anima. Após os primeiros quilômetros, feitos à procura de um par de curvas secas para fotografar, pois a chuva tinha caído durante a noite, estávamos convencidos com o novo motor. Mais potente, e sobretudo mais disponível desde a gama baixa de rotações, sempre linear.Em estrada aberta, é possível “esticar” a Hornet um bocadinho, deitado sobre o tanque mas a ausência de proteção aerodinâmica faz com que as altas velocidades sejam penosas, embora seja previsível que se chegue a rondar de perto os 230 km/hora, medidos no velocímetro.Durante a manhã tivemos de fugir do percurso que a Honda havia delineado para a apresentação, umas apetitosas estradas de montanha na Serra do Caldeirão/PT, mas que se encontravam ainda muito molhadas. Mas encontramos algumas curvas secas e começamos a “aviar” algumas fotos mais ousadas, sendo aí que a Hornet mais nos impressionou. Não poupamos o bicho: reduzíamos para fazer as curvas em segunda com o quatro cilindros a “ganir”, investíamos para o interior com os pedaleiras (e, mais tarde, também o silenciador) a raspar no asfalto, e a Hornet parecia que estava a andar sobre carris. Impressionante. Nunca houve um susto, necessidade de corrigir, nada! &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ffcc33;"&gt;Esta Honda está perfeitamente irrepreensível em termos de estabilidade em curva, mesmo se abusarmos do seu potencial até ao limite do fisicamente possível. Em curvas mais longas, de mudanças mais altas e menos apoio, a Hornet manteve sempre o mesmo aprumo.Em suma: temos aqui a melhor Hornet. Recuperou o espírito mais “hooligan” com que surgiu, e que tinha vindo a perder nas duas últimas versões, tem um motor 5 estrelas e uma ciclística exemplar. Este modelo é naked, ou seja, uma moto grande e sem carenagem, ao estilo da Honda CB 600F Hornet, da Kasinski Comet 250 e da Suzuki Bandit N 600.&lt;br /&gt;Diz-se que o modelo até mesmo já foi flagrado no Brasil, em testes. Se ela for trazida para o Brasil mesmo, vai agradar a muita gente. Seu visual é urbano e moderno, seguindo as últimas tendências mundiais. Veja informações do site Webmotors:&lt;br /&gt;Seu painel tem mostrador analógico, para as rotações do motor, e um outro, de cristal líquido, com indicações do funcionamento mecânico e elétrico do conjunto. O assento é de dois níveis e na traseira o destaque são os dois grandes escapes pintados em preto encobertos por uma rabeta curta, sem muitos detalhes.&lt;br /&gt;A posição de pilotagem é um pouco mais avançada do que na MT-03, o que prioriza a agilidade em curvas. Muitos componentes do chassi e até o motor foram fixados um pouco mais “à frente” em relação a outros modelos da marca. Segundo a montadora, isso se deve ao trabalho de centralização de massas, um dos maiores desafios dos engenheiros japoneses nesta moto. Como resultado está a ótima marca de distribuição de peso, com 48% na roda traseira e 52% na dianteira. A altura do assento é de 805 mm e o peso a seco de 174,5 kg.&lt;br /&gt;O motor utilizado pela MT-03 é o mesmo monocilíndrico de 660 cm³ com comando simples no cabeçote e arrefecimento liquido que equipa a XT 660R, capaz de gerar 48 cv a 6.000 rpm, e torque de 5,95 kgm a 5.250 rpm.
